[Matthew 9:18-22 KJV]“While he spoke these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, ‘My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live.’ And Jesus arose, and followed him, and so did his disciples.”
“And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: for she said within herself, ‘If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.’ But Jesus turned about, and when he saw her, he said, ‘Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole.’ And the woman was made whole from that hour.”
In the world of faith and religion, we know that there are things that are visible and others that are invisible. It takes deeper prophetic insight to discover the invisible and learn how to touch it. Once discovered, these steps become instructions and examples for others.
In the scripture above, we see how the woman with the issue of blood received her miracle by touching the hem of the Lord’s garment. It is important to understand that she acted in faith and intuition. Her testimony showed others the secret to touching and tapping into the invisible.
In the gospel, we later see that many from the towns and villages in Gennesaret began to tap in after the example of the woman with the issue of blood. Whenever Jesus came to those villages, they brought out their sick so they could touch just the borders of his garments.
“And when they were gone over, they came into the land of Gennesaret. And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought unto him all that were diseased; and besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.” (Matthew 14:34-36 KJV)
The secret to tapping into the invisible and receiving incredible power that makes things happen is:
Delighting in the Testimonies of the Lord
People in those days understood through the woman’s testimony that there was power beyond what was visible. They realized it was possible to touch the invisible and be made perfectly whole. Testimonies of the Lord provide spiritual understanding, and faith comes by hearing the word of God.
Acting on the Word
Walking by faith and not by sight means that acting on the word opens you up to the world of the invisible. If you heed the voice of the thief, you end up getting stolen, but those who listen to the voice of the shepherd find pasture in safe places. It’s the doer of the word who is blessed, not just the hearer.
You can touch the invisible
If you believe and act on the word, you will touch the invisible. There is a world of power resident in the realms of the unseen. May your act of faith usher you into the realm of power and possibilities, and may you connect to divine unction that brings change!
“And wherever he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole.” (Mark 6:56 KJV)
Stay blessed.
