Psalm 78:23-25 KJV — Though he had commanded the clouds from above, And opened the doors of heaven, [24] And had rained down manna upon them to eat, And had given them of the corn of heaven. [25] Man did eat angels’ food: He sent them meat to the full.
There is a place called heaven and there are doors and gates that either give or restrict access to the spirit realms.
- Jacob saw the gates of heaven
- Apostle Paul was taken to the third heavens
We understand that there are at least three heavens that are backed by the scriptures: the first heaven, which is the start heaven; the second heaven, which is beyond the stars; and the third heaven, which is paradise of God. There may be other heavens but I want to restrict my teaching to what is revealed. It is however knowledge that in the third heavens, mortal men can eavesdrop on heavenly conversation.
We also know that it is possible for mortal men to gain access to these spiritual realms.
There are gates and doorways to the spiritual realms which mortal men can access through the following means;
- Sensitivity to the spirit: Men and women who are sensitive to the spirit gain access to the spirit realm. Jacob didn’t do anything but he was sensitive to the spirit and caught the revelation of the divine.
- Worship or the sacrifice of praise which is the fruit of the lips.
- Prayer and diligent seeking: Asking, seeking, and knocking (See Acts 4:30). Praying in tongues gives us access to the spirit realm.
- Listening and soaking in the word through preaching, music, or sounds (See Acts 10:38-44). Men and women who stay in an atmosphere of the word gain access to the realms of the spirit.
Acts 10:38-44 — How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. [39] And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:
[40] Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly; [41] Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead. [42] And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.
[43] To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. [44] While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
- Waiting, silence, solitary, and fasting (See Luke 4:1-3). If you are hungry enough to separate yourself to seek the face of God, you will encounter Him. He commanded Moses to come apart that He might speak to him.
Luke 4:1-3 — “And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, [2] Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. [3] And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread.”
- Faith [Ephesians 2:17-19, Romans 5:2, Ephesians 3:12]
Ephesians 2:17 KJVS — And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
Romans 5:2 KJVS — By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Ephesians 3:12 KJVS — In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.
Stay blessed
