[Proverbs 29:18 NLT] “When people do not accept divine guidance, they run wild. But whoever obeys the law is joyful.”
Most often than not, planning meetings take so long because many people in church have lost what ‘the win’ is. The church is just active but we are not growing or achieving much. Many of us have lost the reason for our existence. Many ministers have taught many things but they are only confusing the Body of Christ. We want to spend time understanding what church is all about.
To understand what church is all about; we must understand that the Church, also known as The Called Out, is the Body of Christ on earth. If the church is the Body of Christ on earth, then we must focus on doing what the Head of the Body is all about, and seeks to achieve. The purpose and will of the Head must be the commission and foremost concern of the body.
In Luke 19:10, the head of the church reveals that His will and purpose is to seek and to save the lost. This is what God and the Head of the Church is concerned about. The Church must, therefore, seek and save the lost wherever they are. We must go to the streets and lanes, and highways and hedges. Nowhere is too far or too rural to go; we must be ready to arise and go. The harvest is waiting!
The church ought to purpose and plan to spend our resources on seeking and saving the lost. The capacity of the church is determined by her going capacity and not our seating capacity. The Head of the Church, Jesus Christ, commissioned the Body to go into the world and proclaim the Goodnews. He spent three years recruiting and training messengers he will send to both preach, gather, and equip others to go and do the same thing.
[Matthew 28:18-20 KJV] “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth”
[19] “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:”
[20] “Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

Whenever we gather, we must pray, worship, study, plan, and deploy resources to reach out. There is no time to waste. The end of all things is at hand. There is no reason to be confused. The church is all about reconciling men to God. If what we are doing in church does not culminate in the redemption of the lost; we are wasting both time and resources.
Everything we do both in church and our own lives must be towards soul winning, spreading the news, and equipping men to do the same. This is what church is all about.
Stay blessed
