Proverbs 6:9-11 KJV — How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? When wilt thou arise out of thy sleep? [10] Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to sleep: [11] So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, And thy want as an armed man.
The Bible warns us against sleep and idleness in many places. The Lord always exhorts his children to wake up and act. Sleeping, drowsiness and idleness will only lead to poverty.
To sit around and wait for things to happen will only lead to poverty. Nothing just happens, we must awake and work it. The glory will not just fall, someone must stir it.
If we really want to break the curse of poverty and be free from its destructive power, then we must be willing to awake and act. It is time to reach out! It is time to multiply yourself. It is time to teach others to do what you do. You must train others..if you play an instrument in church, then, you must train others to help.
If we sit around doing nothing, nothing shall be done. Someone must take the challenge and do something about something. This is the time to arise and act. God will bless your effort and bring an increase.
