We are Bought to Fight the Good Fight of Faith

Honestly, every man on the face of the earth is fighting a battle, whether you believe it or not. You may not see their struggle but every man on the face of the earth is fighting something. The Bible, therefore, exhorts us to humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt us in due time. Indeed, there is nowhere to run to. Whatever you are facing in the church, your friends in the world are facing it in differing dimensions.

[1 Timothy 6:12 KJV] “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses”.

Discussion:

Everyone is fighting something, so just chill out and bear your burdens with a humble heart and a rational head.

[1 Peter 5:6‭-‬9 KJV] “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world”.

Every man is battling something. You may be battling poverty, but others are battling sicknesses, others are also battling family cracks. You may be facing singleness, but others are dealing with divorce and some are also battling abusive relationships. Everyone is fighting one thing or the other but the good news is we have weapons that are mighty through God to fight this battle.

Although you are going through so much, facing your own challenges against evil and satanic forces; although the battle is raging, you need to remember that we have weapons that are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds and casting down imaginations and thoughts that exalt itself against the knowledge of God.

Don’t wait to face it or to be told, you must understand from Scripture that we are all wrestling and fighting something; it is called a fight of faith. This is the battle that arises against you simply because you want to obey God. It is the spiritual battle we all fight to remain faithful and fruitful.

There are good fights of faith and bad fights of faith. You are called to fight the good fight of faith. We are constantly fighting principalities, powers, rulers, and spiritual wickedness. We are constantly battling these forces, but the good news, however, is that we have weapons that are mighty and effective through God.

I want you to understand that you are not vulnerable. You are well equipped to face all the challenges and battle the enemy, you must wear the victor’s crown. You are more than a conqueror; you must be in charge and not be conquered. You must have dominion, that is the will of God for you. You are not a victim, you are the champion. Without doubt, we have weapons that are mighty through God to demolish every arsenal of the enemy.

You will win the battle if you know what your weapons are:

Many are not winning because they don’t know the weapons. The weapons of our weapon are our salvation, righteousness, faith, truth, the word of God, prayer, watching, perseverance, supplication, and long-suffering. So, your salvation, righteousness, faith, truth, word of God, witnessing, and all kinds of prayer and watching with long-suffering and perseverance are all mighty weapons. These are the mighty weapons we have, with which to win this battle. You may be facing your own battles in marriage, ministry, money, family, health, etc but you also have effective and mighty weapons to use.

Do all you can in your power to guard your weapons:

You have all the weapons you need to effectively fight. So do all in your power to protect these weapons. If you lose your weapons, you will lose the battle. The war of life against deception and satanism is real. The only way to win is to remember that we have weapons of war that are mighty through God to pull down strongholds and cast down imaginations and thoughts. The second step is to guard these weapons of war. Don’t allow anyone to take them away from you.

Deploy the weapons to help you:

You must deploy these weapons of war to help you win in life. The Bible exhorts us to put on the whole armour of God. You must put on the whole armour; not some, the whole.

Step into the battle, Don’t withhold your sward from blood:

Step into the battle. Run to the battle, don’t be at ease in Zion. Withhold not your sword from blood. Arise and pray with all kinds of prayer and supplication and watching for all the saints. This is the time and you must be ready to fight.

War according to the prophecies that have gone ahead of you:

You will win if you war according to prophecy. We must fight by light and prophecy. That is how you win. “This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;” (1 Timothy 1:18 KJV)

Fight with a decision to finish your course and to keep your faith 

I pray that you will decide to overcome to the end. You must understand that only those who fight to the end and overcome will wear the victor’s crown. Apostle Paul said, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:” (2 Timothy 4:7 KJV)

The battle is raging, but we have weapons. We have mighty and effective weapons. These weapons are mighty through God. You can and must win. I know you are facing something but you must emerge the winner. You will not bow your head in shame with shoulders drooping. You will lift your hands in worship and not in surrender to the enemy. You are more than a conqueror.
