Weigh your own choices and actions
Scripture:
“And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.” — Genesis 1:10 (KJV)
Exhortation:
In Genesis 1, we see a powerful pattern in God’s creative process: He acted with purpose, evaluated His work, and declared it good. Before moving to the next step, God paused to assess what He had done. This divine rhythm teaches us the value of intentional living.
Just as God examined His creation, we too must learn to pause and weigh our own choices and actions. Are the decisions we make producing “good” in our lives and in the lives of others?
Are our words, habits, and priorities aligned with God’s design and purpose? When we take time to reflect, honestly and humbly, we create room for growth, correction, and deeper alignment with God’s will.
Call to Action:
Today, take a few quiet moments to review your recent choices. Identify one action that reflects God’s goodness, and one that needs adjustment. Commit to walking in greater intentionality.
Prayer Point:
Lord, help me to pause, reflect, and weigh my actions with wisdom. Let my choices reflect Your goodness and lead me closer to Your perfect will. Amen.
