[Acts 2:37-40 KJV] “Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation“
Jesus sent me with a message for you! He wants me to announce to you that;
- This world and everything in it is passing away. The world is passing away; you are passing away; I am passing away; everything we have is passing away. There is something wrong with our world and you must do something about it.
- All have sinned and come short of the glory of God (See Romans 3:23). As a result death reign in all of us.
- The wages of sin is death
Without a doubt, we all agree that there is something wrong with our world today and something is gone wrong with our generation. The world is sinking and sinking to rise no more. Our societies have become more brutish, liberal and degenerative. Humans are becoming more wicked and beastly. Our world is drowning in wickedness and sin. Everything is heading towards chaos and disorderliness. There are new diseases and strains of viruses and bacteria. Everything looks gloomy and depressing. We hear of wars and disasters. Our hearts are filled with pain and anxiety.
If you ever asked what you should focus on and be doing? I will exhort you to focus on saving yourself from this untoward generation! Save yourself from this erratic and unpredictable generation. Save yourself! Don’t wait for anyone. You are you and you must save yourself. This is the time to make the quality decision.
This is the time to believe in your heart that Jesus is the son of God who died and rose again and to confess the same with your mouth. This is the time to try him to save you.
