Ephesians 5:22-24 KJV — Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. [23] For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. [24] Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
1. Marry a man you can respect and revere:
Your husband is not your friend, your husband is your Lord, the head of the home, and your home cell leader. This is the man who is assigned to explain your pastor’s preaching to you. If you don’t marry a man you can respect, you will kill him; he will be a walking dead. Most men have become so quiet because they have been disrespected so much.
2. Marry a man you can submit to:
There is a slight difference between respecting a person and submitting to him. Your right suitor is a man you can submit to. If you can’t submit to him, that is not your husband.
3. Marry a man you can follow:
When Abraham went out upon God’s instruction, Sarah followed without questions; however Lot’s wife became a pillar of salt because she looked back. She could not fully trust her husband’s leading. Marry a woman who can follow you. Many marriages are just cosmetic because the husbands can’t lead and wives can’t follow.
4. Marry a man you can honour
To honour is to treat him with dignity. When you honour someone, you treat him and things about him with dignity.
5. Marry a man you can help:
In the wisdom of God a man’s greatest need is to find help and you must be that woman that can help him. If you can’t help him, he is not your husband. The man you intend to marry should be a man you can help.
These are five things that point to the right suitor for you. If you can do these five things for the man, that is the right man for you.
Stay blessed
