Getting Ready For A World-wide Ministry

Luke 8:1-4 KJV

And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him,  

And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils,  

And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance.  

And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, he spake by a parable:

Exhortation

There comes a time when you are ready for a world-wide ministry;

#1. One of the first indicators that it is time for a world-wide ministry is rejection, familiarity, doubt, and accusation: 

Luke 8 begins with; it came to pass ‘afterwards’ that …  It came to pass after the people had seen the mighty manifestations and some had rejected Him, some had grown use to Him, and some even doubted Him that he began to travel abroad and to travel widely.

One of the greatest weapons that the enemy uses against you is accusation, familiarity, doubt and rejection; It is important to expand your reach so much that the enemy would require greater machinery to fight what you are building.

It time to spread out and build a world-wide ministry.

#2. The second indicator that you are ready for a world-wide ministry is when you as the lead pastor is ready to lose, suffer, sacrifice, and die.

Our Lord Jesus Christ was ready to lose sleep, money, friends, comfort just to reach the rest of the world.  When He started His travel ministry, He lost His relationship with mother, father, brothers and sisters.

If you are ready to lose we are ready for a world-wide ministry.

#3. The third indicator is when we have 12 men who are ready to follow just to serve at menial things and duties.

Jesus Christ travelled and His 12 followed to serve at menial things. Are you ready to serve at menial things? The menial jobs of arranging chairs, hoisting banners, setting up a stage, setting up keyboard and drums; the menial duties of house to house evangelism, street to street evangelism, and witnessing along the hedges and highways.

Are you ready to follow just to serve? Are you ready?

#4. The fourth indicator is when some follow carrying their money bag. 

We must find people who come along with their Visa cards, debit cards, credit cards, and all kinds of cards to minister their substance to the ministry.

Are there some that follow just to minister their substance to the body and mission of Christ?

#5. The fifth indicator is when some follow because they are called and others also follow because they love the lead pastor and are fascinated by his ministry.

When people love they don’t find faults; love covers multitudes of wrong. When people love they don’t murmur and complain; love makes excuses to cover up faults.

When people love they don’t see distance as a problem, they will cross oceans and mountains just to keep an appointment. They don’t care what they are losing; they will be ready to spend and be spent

Love is such a wonderful gift but remember loving is a choice!
