John 3:3 (KJV) — “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
When Jesus spoke these words to Nicodemus, He revealed a profound truth: the new birth is not merely a religious requirement, it is a spiritual transformation that opens our eyes. Being born again is more than escaping judgment or securing heaven; it is about receiving a new life that grants a new way of seeing.
Before the new birth, a person may be intelligent, moral, or religious, yet still spiritually blind. But when we are born again, God gives us His life and nature. Our eyes are opened to perceive reality from a kingdom perspective.
We begin to see God’s hand in circumstances, His purpose in trials, and His authority above earthly systems. What once looked impossible now becomes subject to faith, because the kingdom of God operates by divine principles, not human limitations.
To be born again is to move from natural sight to spiritual insight. It is to understand that life is not governed merely by what is visible, but by what God has spoken.
Kingdom vision helps us live above fear, sin, and confusion, aligning our thoughts, choices, and expectations with heaven’s rule. Without the new birth, the kingdom cannot be seen; with it, the kingdom becomes our reality.
Prayer:
Father, I thank You for the gift of new life through Christ. I receive the truth that being born again is not only about salvation, but about seeing and living from a kingdom perspective.
Open my eyes to discern Your will, Your power, and Your purposes in every area of my life. Help me to walk daily in the consciousness of Your kingdom, thinking, speaking, and acting as one who has been made new in Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
