I want to speak to you about your real business card. A business card a small card printed with one’s name, occupation, business address, etc.
Many if of us wonder why people treat us the way they do; and the truth is simple. Your real business card is not the card you hand out. Your real business card is how you dress, look, and act.
[1 Samuel 16:1-7 KJV] “And the Lord said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Beth–lehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons.”
“And Samuel said, How can I go? if Saul hear it, he will kill me.”
“And the Lord said, Take an heifer with thee, and say, I am come to sacrifice to the Lord .”
“And call Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will shew thee what thou shalt do: and thou shalt anoint unto me him whom I name unto thee.”
“And Samuel did that which the Lord spake, and came to Beth–lehem.”
“And the elders of the town trembled at his coming, and said, Comest thou peaceably?”
“And he said, Peaceably: I am come to sacrifice unto the Lord : sanctify yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice.”
“And he sanctified Jesse and his sons, and called them to the sacrifice.”
“And it came to pass, when they were come, that he looked on Eliab, and said, Surely the Lord’s anointed is before him. But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.”
Many years ago God wanted to appoint a king over Israel from the house of Jesse. He sent the Prophet Samuel to go and anoint one of his sons as a king to replace King Saul.
The Bible teaches that when Samuel saw Jesse’s son, Eliab; he looked upon him and said “surely the Lord’s anointed is here…” The Lord was quick to inform him that God does not look on the outward as a man.
The take-home lesson is this. Remember that we live in a world of humans who look on the outward. Many of the people you will deal with in the street, office, and in your community cannot read your heart; they can only see what you wear, how you look and act. This is what will inform how they will deal with you.
Never forget the fact that your real business card is how your dress, look, and act. You cannot dress and act like a slut and expect people to deal with you like a queen. You must dress, look, and act like a queen if you want people to address and treat you like a queen.
Samuel almost anointed the wrong man to be king. The truth is Jesse was a great father and groomer. How can you raise eight sons and each of them dress, look, and act as a king? That is a kind of anointing that I pray for; that I will raise noble sons and discreet daughters. I pray that God will help you to dress and appear and act like a prince or princess.
As we step out, you will learn how to act. You will act and present and project royalty.
Remember that people perceived as beautiful are those who walk upright, smile, and step with poise; swinging their hands and stepping with pride.
In the coming year, none of us will fail of this reality. Men will always look on the outward. We must dress, look, and act with royalty and priesthood. You will not fail. Don’t always be out there cheapening and lowering yourself. You cannot always be the life of the party; making others laugh. People will despise you.
Stay blessed; I love you!
