1. Rest well daily:
Winning believers have learnt to trust God absolutely, hence they would not allow stress to have a better part of them. Winning believers do not lose their sleep over any issue, they know they can’t fix things but God can. I pray that you will learn this secret of winning and effective living. In the coming year, may you learn to rest well.
2. Groom:
We all know that God looks at the heart, but men always look on the outward. Many people you will be dealing with life will see what you look and wear before they hear what you can say or do. It is, therefore, important to awaken and to groom well, so that you will not be misconstrued for a thief or something else that you’re not. Grooming is an important thing that you must learn and practice. The English would say “fake it until you become it.” But I will say appear how you want to be addressed.
3. Study:
The Bible tells us to “study to show ourselves approved unto God, a workman who needs not be ashamed”. What you don’t know will keep you from where you must get to. You must be that person who studies something little daily about life and their chosen vocation. You must live ready and in constant preparation.
4. Pray:
As I always say, everything by prayer nothing without prayer. Prayer is the key to making things happen by the hand of God. Men who pray never lose their faith. Payer is what makes things happen. The Lord Jesus Christ was a man of prayer, He prayed daily; mostly waking up long before daybreak to pray (See Mark 1:35) I believe we can learn from His example and live a life of prayer. Men who pray don’t faint, those who faint perhaps don’t pray. Prayer keeps the wheels of faith turning. Luke 18 teaches that “men ought to pray always and not to faint”.
5. Plan:
Failing to plan is planning to fail. We must set healthy goals and design a strategy to reach those goals. A plan is basically setting a goal and finding simple attainable steps to reach that goal. Winning believers plan their year, then their months, weeks, and days. You must learn to plan to win. You must always prepare a to-do list and keep it simple to be able to discharge.
6. Prepare:
The wise and faithful servant prepares himself when he knows the will of his master. A wise and faithful servant continues to prepare daily to be able to deliver on his promise. If you want to come to church on time, you must prepare what you will need the night before.
7. Work:
We are created for work. Working is not a curse and did not come after the Fall. Work was the reason you were created. The Lord had not caused it to rain, because there was no man to till the ground. You were created for work. You must work daily; work when it is day because the night is coming when no man can work. You must work, especially the work of the man who sent you.
8. Witness:
He died for all that all who live will henceforth not live unto themselves, but unto Him that died for them.
“And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again” (2 Corinthians 5:15 KJV)
He is the faithful witness and has ignited us to give witness of Him. We are called to be witnesses unto Him and we must give our witness. We must preach the gospel, teach the counsel of God, heal the sick, cast out devils, and give a witness of His goodness.
9. Worship:
The Bible tells us that “those who believed continued steadfastly in the teachings, fellowship, prayers and breaking of bread of the apostles”. We must worship at the feet of Jesus Christ. Your worship is important to Him.
10. Give:
Winning believers don’t just take and take and take. They give back to life sometimes. We must all learn to give back to life. He that gives to the poor lends to the Lord. You must learn to give and give even on the 8th time. We must learn to give offerings, seeds, tithes, alms, charity, and taxes. We must abound in the grace of giving.
11. Connect and catch up:
Winning believers spend quality time connecting and catching up with friends and family. We must learn to live with the wife of your youth, you must learn to live with your children, and connect with your friends.
12. Build:
Winning believers are concerned about building a legacy and an inheritance for their children and children’s children. Build something, build a little at a time. Rome was not built in a day but a little at a time.
13. Stay on a good diet:
Stay on a good diet, winning believers stay on a good diet. You must be careful about what you eat. You must manage your diet and be moderate. You need a healthy body to function.
May you join the league of winning believers as you cultivate these winning daily habits.
Stay blessed, I love you!
