It is appointed unto man once to die and after death judgment. Indeed, we shall all appear before the great king to be judged. We would have to answer for what we did in the flesh while on earth.
(2 Timothy 4:7-8 KJV) “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”
After all, is said and done three things will matter when death is imminent:
- Did you fight the good fight?
- Did you finish your course?
- Did you keep the faith?
These are the three things that would matter. These are the three things that will bring joy and fulfillment; that you fought the good fight, finished your course, and kept the faith. When all is said and done, these are the three things that will matter.
You will ask yourself if you really fought for the things that matter. There are times when we fight for things that don’t matter. We fight for things that are not the main things that matter. Are you sure the things you are fighting for matter. Are the things you are fighting for really worth your effort? Hmm!
There is a course we must all run and finish. It’s important to fight until you finish that course. Each of us must press on and win the race. You will finish your course; nothing will and nothing must stop you. You cannot fail; you will win. There is a path, a course you must maintain. You can be fighting for the right things but in the wrong ways. Are you running within your own tracks? Are you in the right course? Are you going about your course the right way? These questions will matter when you face eternity and judgment.
The going may get tough, but you must persevere. Your persistence, as they say, will weary the resistance. You will breakthrough all odds and win the race of life. Help will come from above. Don’t quit even if you feel like it. You are closer than you think. You will make it. It matters to keep faith. It matters when you remain loyal in your quest to finish your course. Are you keeping faith? Or you are just poised to finish your course? Will the Son of Man find faith in you when He comes?
May the Lord help us to run our race in our course! May the Lord help us to fight to finish our course and to finish it the right way! In our quest to attain greatness may we keep faith! May we become loyal! Press on and don’t relent. Press on and you will win!
I love you.
