“Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men” (Matthew 5:13 KJV)
You are the salt of the earth! You are the Christ to this generation. We are the anointed ones of this generation. We are the people that can preserve this earth and generation of men. We the anointed ones that this generation looks up to. So how do you maintain our Christlikeness?
You receive and maintain Christlikeness through believing the gospel (the Bible); building up yourself (spirit, soul, body, network and work) on your most holy faith; and living a simple life.
John 1:12 tells us “that to them that believe him, to them gave he the power to be the sons of God”. Those who believe the gospel receive the power to live as the sons of God. There is the release of power when we believe the gospel. The gospel is Jesus in letters. The gospel is God’s message to men everywhere. The gospel is the power of God to save the world. The gospel is the exposition of who we are, where we are, what we can do and what we have in Christ. When we believe the gospel, the arm of the Lord gets revealed in our lives. Faith releases and reveals the arm of the Lord.
Acts 2:42-47 teaches us that “those who believed the gospel were added to the church and they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, prayer, singing and making melodies in your heart, breaking bread, and confessing the word of faith”. This is how you build up your spirit, soul, body, network and work on your most holy faith.
What is your most holy faith? It is what you believe about your identity, position, rights, and possessions in Christ.
Ecclesiastes 9 exhorts us on the virtue of living a simple life. You will maintain your Christlikeness if you live a simple life. Indeed, “the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong; time and chance happens to them all. It’s not of him that willeth nor of him that runneth but God that shows mercy”. God will have mercy on who He will have mercy and give grace to who He will grace to. You must receive every day as a gift, eat your bread with joy, groom and dress well, live joyfully with your spouse, and work at what your hands have found to do with might.
Let’s give hope, prayer, and encouragement below. Post a comment & let the discussion continue.
Stay blessed and don’t be distracted.
I love you
