Desires are like potential, they must be worked on before they can produce fruits and results. Having a desire doesn’t mean you have the results. Desire is the force that gets the turbines or the wheels of life to roll.

The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat (Proverbs 13:4 KJV)

A lazy person could desire good and will have nothing but the diligent shall prosper. The key to fatness is being diligent. Laziness will leave you with nothing, but diligence will make you fat.

I exhort you today that if you have any vision, get up and pursue it.

1. Start right:

If the foundation is wrong, the building will be wrong. We must strive to build on the right foundation.  The foundation has however been laid by Christ already. Each one of us must therefore build on it as a wise master builder. If the beginning goes wrong, the course often goes wrong.

2. Strive lawfully:

Those who run in race are not crowned unless they strive lawfully. We must strive but strive lawfully. God wants each of us not only to win but to win lawfully. I pray that as you run, you will strive lawfully.

3. Determine to stand out:

It’s important to remember that so many other people are desiring to achieve the same things you want to achieve, therefore determine to do it so well that you will stand out. That is how you command fatness and increase.

Be diligent; be focused. May the Good Lord sustain your pursuit. May He take you far. May Heaven support your pursuits. Receive strength to pursue your desire and press on to the mark.
