Duality is a concept that exists in several spheres of life and study. You find duality in mathematics, physics, etc. Duality also exists in our spiritual walk with the Lord.
“No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” (Matthew 6:24 KJV)
Technically duality is the concept of two opposing ideas or feelings existing in one person or entity. This leads to confusion and distress.
One place we see this manifest is in the area of attempting to serve God and at the same time serve mammon. No man can serve two masters; God and mammon. We either decide to serve God and use money as a tool or serve money and use God as a tool.
Those who serve God and use money as a tool at the end prosper and lay hold on eternal life; but those who decide to serve money and use God as a tool, pierce themselves with hurtful and foolish lusts.
What will be your choice this week? To serve God and use money as a tool or serve money and use God as a tool. The choice is yours. But remember, if you serve money, you will be hurt, wounded and lost. In any case, if you serve God, all other things shall be added to you. You cannot love God and love money; Think!
Understand also the difference between duality and lukewarmness: in duality, two opposing feelings or ideas exist in one entity; but in lukewarmness, you are neither here not there. May the Lord help us to be focused and get greater and better results.
Duality is a thief and steals our sense of responsibility. Duality is a beast. Duality kills perfection and full service with honour. People who are dual are dangerous, confused and are very disloyal.
May the Lord help you to focus. May He give you a single heart. May you decide to focus. May He help us all in Jesus’s name.
