This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain. He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.” (Galatians 3:1-9 KJV)
Today I want to exhort you to continue in the hearing of faith.
The Bible tells us that only fools, those bewitched, and those being perfected in the flesh cease from the hearing of faith. When the hearing of faith does not make sense anymore, remember you are becoming foolish, bewitched, and fleshly or carnal. There is no argument about that.
The wise, the awakened, and the spiritual continue in the hearing of faith. Our walk of faith begins and ends with the hearing of faith. It is the most important practice. That is what we are called to. You die spiritually the very day you stop the hearing of faith. Faith and the hearing of faith is all that you need to finish strong.
As we enter into the coming days, I pray that you make it your foremost responsibility to keep hearing by faith.
What then is the hearing of faith? The hearing of faith is to mix what you hear from the word of God with faith. There are many things in the word of God that do not make natural sense, hence the need to accept as truth by faith. Tithing may sound foolish to you, and rightly so, it will not benefit you as long as you don’t mix the doctrine of tithing with faith. If the Bible teaches that homosexuality is a mental illness, it will not benefit you, until you believe it.
The hearing of faith is listening with hope. The hearing of faith is listening with the hope that what is being proclaimed to you would manifest tangibly. The essence of hearing by faith is undisputable. Hebrews 4:2 teaches that the gospel cannot benefit those who do not mix what they hear with faith.
The hearing of faith releases God to;
Work miracles among us:
The hearing of faith releases the miracle working power of God into our lives. Hearing in hope of receiving the manifestation of what is being declared releases miracles and the miracle working power into your life.
Minister the Spirit:
Ezekiel testifies in his book, chapter 2:1-3 that as the Lord spoke to him in a vision His spirit entered into him. As we listen by faith, God ministers the Spirit to us also and we become anointed through the hearing of faith. When you listen to things that lift your spirit, you become anointed.
Justify us:
When you mix what you hear with faith, God justifies you as a partaker of the heritage of His servant Abraham. Your faith in God’s word justifies you as being righteous and therefore a partaker of the blessings of Abraham: When we believe, we receive justification.
It is not natural to listen by faith. It takes grace to continue in the hearing of faith. When Stephen made his defense before the Sanhedrin; as he kept speaking the truth, his face shone as the face of an angel and the people stopped their ears.
“Then there arose certain of the synagogue, which is called the synagogue of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia and of Asia, disputing with Stephen. And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake. And all that sat in the council, looking stedfastly on him, saw his face as it had been the face of an angel.” (Acts 6:9-10, 15 KJV)
I thought that if you are disputing with a man whose face looks like an angel, you would repent; but rather they stoned him. I have been there several times when people I was teaching and counselling nearly stoned me. Look at what they did to Stephen.
“When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth. But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God. Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord, And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man’s feet, whose name was Saul. And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.” (Acts 7:54-60 KJV)
You are saved; continue in the hearing of faith; even if it does not make sense. Continue in the hearing of testimonies;
Stay blessed; I love you!
