I believe that every one desire a better life. In fact it is God’s will for us to enjoy better mental health. Health is not total until we have a good mental health.
The devil knows the values peace and a sound mind; he will do anything to steal your peace. You must determine to preserve your peace to win the war against every evil force that fights your peace and sound mind.
Three things that can work against the quality of you mental health are views and perspectives, thoughts, and imaginations and fantasies; these are the things that builds up to become obsessions and strongholds.
The simple secrets to enjoy better mental health especially peace and soundness of mind;
Starts with shaping your views and perspectives with the truth:
You must be careful how your look at things. Everybody is not a liar and even liars are not always lying. Many of us look at things with myopic, parochial, superficial and paranoid views and perspectives. The apostle encouraged the church to desist from looking at things after the outwards appearance. Many have almost lost their peace and soundness of mind because they were obsessed with suspicions and paranoid views. I exhort you to think beyond outward appearances.
The second step is taking your thoughts captive:
If you allow your thoughts, they will just run wild and hold you captive. Check how you think. Your thoughts are so important. The quality of your thoughts determine the quality of your peace and life. Take your thoughts captives or they will take you captive.
The third step is casting down the imaginations and fantasies you entertain:
If you entertain and fantasize on warped imaginations, your thoughts will become obsessed and your life will be full of fear, anxiety and complexes. May the Lord help you to cast down imaginations and fantasies.
The view and perspective you don’t shape will poison your thoughts; the thought you don’t tame or purge will determine your imaginations and literally become a stronghold in the mind that will control you. It then becomes an obsession and sickening.
2 Corinthians 10:3-5 reveals that we have weapons that are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. Listen! though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh. There are imaginations, thoughts and high things that are always thrown at you to bombard your mind and heart, but the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. We can pull down all those high things if we really engage the weapons of our warfare. Any negative mindset working against you is rebuked now!
