“And he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments. And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses’ hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him. And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh him.
And Moses called unto them; and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned unto him: and Moses talked with them. And afterward all the children of Israel came nigh: and he gave them in commandment all that the Lord had spoken with him in mount Sinai. And till Moses had done speaking with them, he put a veil on his face. But when Moses went in before the Lord to speak with him, he took the veil off, until he came out.
And he came out, and spake unto the children of Israel that which he was commanded. And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses’ face shone: and Moses put the veil upon his face again, until he went in to speak with him.”
In the text above we see how Moses changed when he spent time in the presence of God. When the servant of God spent time in his presence taking notes as the Lord dictated, his very person changed. He changed and began to shine. We can understand that when we spend time in the presence of God, we are changed into nature and glory we behold. The glory rubs on us and we manifest that.
The time spent in the house of the Lord is never wasted. That time helps to build us. We are changed into the glory of God. We lose our shame and we are changed to shine.
Moses did nothing; he just sat in the mountain of God taking notes as he heard God speaking and he was changed. The voice of God to you can change you. You can literally shine if you spend time to listen and write what you hear.
When you come to church, take notes. Write what God is saying and receive the glory that comes through the voice and the word. Taking notes in church is not an ordinary ritual. It’s one of the ways of receiving glory upon your life. The man of God, Moses, received glory like never before. You can also receive the glory of God into your being. Learn to stay, listen, and take notes.
I love you; stay blessed!
