Thinking is one of the deep mysteries that releases God to act in a greater, exceeding and abundant way. God works with our prayer, our thoughts, and our yieldedness. One biblical instance which shows how God works with how people think is when he was leading Israel out of Egypt to the promise land. Exodus 13:17-18 explains that God took Israel through a longer but easier way because of their thought pattern. God mostly deals with us according to how we think, this is why faith and what you believe is so important.
It is important to understand that;
Stinking thinking leads to a stinking life:
Proverbs 23:7 exhorts that “as a man thinks in his heart so is he.” Stinking thinking leads to a stinking life. When the 12 spies returned from inspecting the promise land, 10 failed because they were not thinking right. They saw themselves as grasshoppers and the others saw them as such. Philippians 4:8 teaches what defines clear thinking: truth, honesty, purity, justice, love, praiseworthiness, and virtue.
Most people have not upgraded their thought Patterns:
1 Corinthians 13:11 teaches that when we are children, we think as children and when we grow we must change the way we think. The more we grow, the more we must shift in our thought patterns. We must mature in our thinking.
Thinking is an art that must be learnt:
You must know what you want to think about, why you want to think about it, and how you must think about it. Thinking is an art that must be learnt.
The quality of your thoughts defines the quality of your life. May the Lord help us to unlock our thinking. Many people pretend to be thinking. May the Lord help us to start thinking.
