[Ecclesiastes 9:7-12 KJV] “Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works. Let thy garments be always white; and let thy head lack no ointment.”
“Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity, which he hath given thee under the sun, all the days of thy vanity: for that is thy portion in this life, and in thy labour which thou takest under the sun.”
“Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.”
“I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.”
“For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.“
The world around you is full of opportunities and graces, but the cost to access some of these opportunities and graces differ depending on what resources and intrinsic strengths you possess. Every man, however, has grace to succeed at something, and your ability to discover what you can access is critical to your success in life.
Many young people are confused about what works in life. They wonder where what they learn applies in life. In any case every body of truth meets you at a certain stage in life; it’s therefore important to understand that you cannot reinvent the wheel, hence the need to apply truth to life at whichever stage you learn it.
- Eat your bread and drink your wine with joy and a merry heart
- Dress festive for every occasion
- Whatever your hands have found to do, do it with all your might.
Always remember that the race is not to the swift nor the battle to the strong; neither is bread to the wise nor riches to men of understanding… we are all at the mercy of the Lord who controls times and seasons. It takes time and chance to get there.
Remember! All you can do is all you can do and all you can do is enough. Don’t kill yourself but work hard to achieve your goals and grace shall compensate for the rest.
Stay blessed!
