[2 Corinthians 10:3-6 KJV] “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled”.
We know without doubt that though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh. This raging war employs the following four weapons. So you must fight and win the battle against these weapons if we can win the war against evil;
- Thoughts
- High things
- Imaginations
- Strongholds
Thoughts
Thoughts are flashing pieces of information that play back in the mind which we tend to focus or think on. Thoughts not taken captive become high things.
High things
High Things are the only things you see when you lift your eyes. These are the ideas or knowledge that form the bases and philosophies of living. These high things are the things that trigger series of emotions in us. They are the basis of our triggers. High things which are not cast down become imaginations.
Imaginations
Imaginations are nations of images. Graphic images we create in our minds and hearts which tend to influence how we interprete things and events that happen around us. We understand the same things differently because we have different nations of images. Imaginations are the images of ourselves which we have created through a series of interactions of our thoughts left unrestrained. The imaginations which we don’t cast down become stongholds.
Strongholds
Strongholds are calcified thoughts stored and implanted in the subconcious mind that inform our phobias and phileos. This becomes the places of hiding in our lives. Strongholds form the basis of our thoughts.
I pray that everyone of us will deal with negative thoughts before it begins to hurt our lives. May the Lord help us with clear thinking! May we give up all faulty thinking! May we walk into a new of dominion in the name of Jesus Christ!
