[Psalms 23:1, 4 KJV] “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”
We have already studied that those who make the Lord their shepherd will live free from lack and the fear of evil. The Psalmist said, “the Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadows of death, I will fear no evil.” The question then is, ” how do I make the Lord my shepherd?”
- Be added to the Lord’s flock and a fold.
- Submit yourself under the elders appointed over the folds
- Cast all your cares upon the Lord
- Be sober, be vigilant, and resist the devil Steadfastly
The Bible tells us in John 10:14-16 that Jesus Christ is the good shepherd; anyone who enters in by Him becomes part of the fold. In Acts 2:40-43, the Bible tells us that those who gladly received the word; and were baptised were added to the church. You can be added to the church through faith and baptism. When you receive the word and get baptised, you are added to the church.
1 Peter 5:1-8 teaches how that we must submit unto the elders among us and to trust God with all of our cares, and to resist the devil. The devil is always trying to make a comeback and to steal, kill and destroy. This beast must be resisted. These are the four simple keys to make God your shepherd.
I love you!
