[Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 KJV] “Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken”.
We have learnt that there are certain things that make you effective in life; clarity, courage, common sense, consistency, and connections. Who you are connected to can make or unmake you. Your partnerships and friendships are so important. No man is an island, no woman is an island either. But it is better to be alone than to be with the wrong people. What happens when you find that right person, or that right company, or that right someone to connect with;
The right connections are the ones that make you effective, efficient, and viable:
The Bible tells us that two are better than one, in that, they have a better reward for their labour. The right associates yield better results for the same labour. The wrong associations saps energy and life out of you. That right person is the one whose association with you leads to mutual increase in rewards, remuneration and results. Look forward to finding the kind of connections that leads to better results and better rewards.
Friends must have each other’s back:
Many will abandon you in the evil day of adversity, but that one person or persons who stick with you in the day in which you are down and out, is a keeper.
In any case, you cannot tell whether they will stand by you or not but if they have kept your back in times past, then don’t treat them lightly. You must also try your best to help them out when they are down and out. That is what connections and associations are meant for.
The third thing that happens when you are in the right company is that you feel energised:
The right people will energise and warm you. The right connection make you relax and energised. Beware of people around whom you don’t feel relaxed. Beware of people whose presence makes you feel anxious. The right company will revive and energise you. In the right company the chemistry is high and you are inspired to achieve your personal goals in life. True friends boost your confidence and make you feel able.
The fourth thing right connections and associations do for you is that they reinforce you:
The right association reinforces and fortifies you to stand against the enemy, the forces and storms that hit your life. That person who helps, inspires and empowers you to stand up to the task or to the adversary, is surely the right connection you need.
I know that the Good Lord will lead you into the right connections, associations, and relationships that will be a blessing to you, and to people around you. May you be anxious for nothing! May you find the right kind of people in life! Don’t make a mistake, because evil communication corrupts good manners.
