Until we are endued with power from on high, our evangelistic effort will end in futility.
“And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things. And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem until ye be endued with power from on high.” – Luke 24:46–49 KJV
Our calling is to go and preach.
“We are called to go, not to wait. We must be going to the cities and streets; not waiting in the church. “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” – Matthew 28:18–20 KJV
Don’t force an unripe harvest
“You cannot force a harvest. If any man shall not receive you, move on! “And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.” – Matthew 10:14 KJV
The focus must be to preach Christ
“Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ unto them.” – Acts 8:5 KJV
