I want to teach you on having and exercising faith that moves mountains. Many people have faith but they hardly move any mountains.
The Bible teaches that “if we have faith as the mustard seed; we shall say to this mountain be thou moved into the sea, and it shall be moved and nothing shall be impossible.”
[Matthew 17:20 KJV] “And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”
Our Lord Jesus Christ explains why many of us are unable to change things. Many of us are still struggling in life because of unbelief. If we have faith as a mustard seed, we can move mountains and nothing shall be impossible.
The following are some qualities of faith that changes things;
1. It comes by hearing and hearing by the word:
[Romans 10:17 KJV] “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
2. It must be three-dimensional:
Must be faith in God, faith in the human agent, and in the possibility of answers.
3. It must speak to situations:
If you believe, you must speak. Faith that moves mountains speaks to the mountains about the possibilities.
[2 Corinthians 4:13 KJV] “We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;”
4. It must inspire works and action:
Any faith that leaves responsibility solely to God is a reckless faith. Faith without works is dead.
[James 2:17, 23-26 KJV] “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.”
“Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”
5. Faith that moves mountains must be enduring:
Faith that moves mountains is enduring. Though great faith can do mighty works, it dwindles in the face of adversity; but enduring faith never fails.
[James 1:2-4 KJV] “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”
These are the basic qualities of faith that moves mountains.
Stay blessed!
