Our mandate is to go into the world and preach the gospel; the gospel of grace, and signs shall follow them that believe. The signs shall follow them that recieve and believe the word. The signs shall not follow those who hear only but those who mix what they hear with faith (Hebrews 4:2). Until you mix what you hear with faith, the signs cannot follow you.
What are these signs? Notice He didn’t say they will build houses or buy cars or bring forth children, rather;
- In my name, they shall cast out devils
- They shall speak with new tongues
- They shall take up serpents
- If they drink any deadly thing, it shall not harm them
- They shall lay their hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
I safely conclude that if you build ten houses and buy cars, bring forth children and you do not have these signs following you, you may lose everything or even lose your life because you have not received the word with faith. These might be very important signs of faith; very important weapons to help you achieve God’s purpose and dream for your life.
These are the evidence of faith. When you believe, God gives you these signs as your weapons of survival. You need the manifestation of these signs of faith in order to excel and advance with joy. We need these signs of faith. So once you believe, expect these signs to follow you.
You need the manifestation of these signs more than building houses and buying cars and even marriage. Without the manifestation of these signs, you may build houses or buy cars but you may lose them all again.
