In as much as it’s important to abound in the work of the Lord, it’s worthy to note that abounding in the work of the Lord will require four or five things:
- A personal commitment to abound in the work of the Lord: until you make the decision to be involved, no one can make you get involved. You should make that personal decision. A man called his sons to work in the vineyard, and each of them had to make his own decision to get involved.
- Endurement with power from on high: the Lord told his twelve to wait until they are endued with power from on high. We are nothing without power in the missions field. The thing that sets us apart is the power of God. We need the anointing to function. The Anointing, is a necessity for effective evangelism.
- The wisdom and strategy to maneuver through this wilderness, called life. In Luke 10, we understand that God gave them power over demons and sicknesses, yet God told them to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.
- The financial capacity to live life: anointing minus money is equal to dishonour and annoyance. When the poor wise man saves a city with his wisdom, the honour is given to a rich man. The wisdom of the poor man is despised, let us learn to receive the financial grace. May the Lord bless you with wisdom!
- The human resources: the truth is the harvest is plentiful but the labourers are few. We are always going to need a work force and we must remember, ministry thrives on the shoulders of men and women committed to keep the wheels of revival running.
Prophetic prayer
- Pray that God will help you to stand faithful in your decision to abound in the work of the Lord.
- Pray that God will anoint us with power from on high for church growth
- Pray that God will give us the wisdom to guide us in the mission field. Pray for wisdom.
- Pray that the Lord shall bless the works of our hands. May you see a great increase in turnover and profits in the name of Jesus Christ! Receive grace.
- Pray that God will send labourers into the field. May God raise faith helpers and missionaries in the mighty name of Jesus!
Stay blessed
