What are the secrets to living an effective life? In today’s devotional, I have 7 biblical secrets to effective living, so let’s dive right in;
[2 Corinthians 10:3-7 KJV] “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)”
“casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; and having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.”
“Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ’s, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ’s, even so are we Christ’s.“
The word of God teaches that though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh. If you are going to win the battle of life and excel in all that you doing, then:
- Don’t rationalise everything. Most things are deeper than they appear. You must step out in faith and walk in the spirit. Don’t judge everything after the outward appearance.
- Admit that you need the help of a higher power
- Believe and tell everyone you find where you live, work and play that Jesus, is the way, the truth and the life to this higher power
- Connect and continue steadfastly with the brethren who call upon God out of a pure heart; this is because evil communication corrupt good manners
- Desire the sincere milk of the word (Read your Bible and pray every day). Meditate and give yourself wholly to what you read
- Eat well, sleep and wake early, groom daily, work and play hard
- Fear the Lord and forget not all His benefits
[1 Timothy 4:11-16 KJV] “These things command and teach. Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.”
“Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery. Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.”
“Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.“
Stay blessed!
