[Genesis 12:1-4 KJV] “Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: and I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:”
“and I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.”
I believe many of us want to walk with God and follow Christ. I want to share with you simple secrets to excelling in walking with Jesus. These are seven secrets that would take you far. These are secrets I learned from the life of Abraham. A careful study of the life of Abraham reveals that he engage seven key secrets to excel;
- The first one is the fact that our Father Abraham had a clear instruction, mandate and vision from God. He had a goal or future to look forward to. He was not living anyhow. He was guided in his journey by a God-given vision and goal to look forward to. We should pray that God will put in our hearts a God-given vision and goal to look forward to.
- The second is to pray that God will increase us with men like a flock. Pray that God will help us to become a great nation. All of us get motivated when we see an increase. I pray that you will see an increase on every side of your life.
- The third input that made Abraham excel is the Blessings. Remember, it is “the blessing of the Lord that makes a man rich and adds no sorrow.” Jabez prayed for blessing and God answered him. You can also pray for blessing and God will grant your desire.
- We want to also pray for Influence. The Bible says a man can receive nothing except it is given to him from above. This is the time to arise and ask God to make your influence go far. Pray that God will enlarge our coast and cause us to reach far.
- The fifth input that caused Abraham to excel is the protective standing order. God assured him that He will curse those who curse him and bless those who bless him. Pray that the hand of the Lord will be with you to keep evil from hurting you.
- Our father Abraham also engaged unwavering faith in God and His “promises. His promises are yea and Amen”. Abraham believed God and it was counted for him as righteousness. Abraham kept faith with God.
- The final key Abraham engaged people skills. People are untoward and extremely wicked. You must pray that God will give us the skills to deal with people from all walks of life. People skills is very important; get it.
I pray that you will seek pray and believe God to give you these seven inputs for greater fruits and results.
Stay blessed
