Nay sayers: People who don’t believe in you
Nay sayers; people who don’t believe in you will waste your precious time. In Mark 6:1-6, our Lord Jesus could not do mighty works because the people did not believe in Him. They accepted that God can do it but He will not use a person like a carpenter’s son! If you keep people who do not believe in you around you; you will end up wasting all the precious time and energy trying to persuade or tying to impress them! If you allow people who don’t believe in you around you, you can do no mighty work.
People who bring you down:
It’s unfortunate how sometimes we entertain people who try to pull us down. You will go forward in real time when you remove people who pull you down from your life.
A man that is an heretic who will not change after a first and second admonishing, reject!
“A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject; knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.” (Titus 3:10-11 KJV)
An insubordinate subordinate:
Please purge your circle and team of subordinates who will not listen. One toxic team member will destroy the whole team. If you allow one person to dishonour you, the rest of the team will dishonour you as well. Don’t allow people to stay around you who do what they want.
Scorners:
Cast out the scorner, and contention shall go out; Yea, strife and reproach shall cease. (See Proverbs 22:10 KJV)
The Bible says, cast out a scorner and contention will cease. Scorners fuel contention and strife. Scorners fuel debate and senseless arguments.
People you have to micro-manage:
Drop people you have to micro manage; they will waste your time and drag you down. Every man has common sense which they should be able to use.
Contentious dependants:
Carrying someone along in life is already a responsibility and a weight which is not easy to bear; it is therefore unwise and unreasonable to carry a dependant who is contentious. When Lot’s men began to contend with the servants of Abraham, the great man of faith told Lot, there was no need to fight. Don’t waste precious time striving with dependants.
“And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdmen and thy herdmen; for we be brethren. Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left.”
“And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar.”
“Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other. Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plain, and pitched his tent toward Sodom.: (Genesis 13:8-12 KJV)
Stay blessed!
