You Must Trust Jesus Christ to Pay for Your Sins

“Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified” (Galatians  2:16 )

If there is any one thing that is universally accepted as right, then it is the quest for moral uprightness. Men everywhere seek to attain unto a certain moral standard.

Throughout the history of man, most of the revolutions and agitations around the world were pursued on the basis of a certain moral consciousness. Whether we deem it right or wrong the proponents of the ideals of such revolutions and advocates were convinced of a certain moral correctness in their argument.

Today, all of us, especially people of faith, seek to honour the law of righteousness written on our hearts. We seek to obey an unwritten code of ethics and conduct. This explains why we feel the conviction of the Holy Spirit when we fail to meet those standard. Indeed, all persons that dwell in the tabernacle called flesh are either subduing or serving the devil, the world or our own flesh.

Sometimes we win and at other times we fail.

The only problem here is that moral uprightness differs from person to person and from culture to culture. There is however only one standard that remains the same, and that is the moral standards of God.

Indeed, no man is justified by the works of the law. In fact, one day, we shall all stand before the Great Judge to give account of our lives. Our works shall be brought before the Him, and He shall judge all of us according to our works, whether they are good or bad.

I must state at this point that when we appear before the white throne, no man shall be justified, except those who trusted the Lord Jesus to pay for their sins.

I am sure that you are aware that you have failed woefully even by your own standards.

Today, I ask you to take a bold step; trust our Lord Jesus Christ to pay for your sins.

Trust him! Put your faith in Him! Allow Him to pay for all your failings while you walk in the grace He makes available to you, to subdue the devil, the world, and the imperfect sinful nature resident in your body.

Prayer

My Lord and my God,

I thank you for loving me while I was yet sinners. I thank you for giving me Your son Jesus Christ. Today, I am trusting your son to pay for my sins and to give me the power to live as you originally planned for me to live.

In Jesus’ name! Amen

Those who trust Jesus Christ to pay for their sins stand justified before God and receive power to live God’s designed life!
