1 Kings 13:2 KJVS – And he cried against the altar in the word of the LORD, and said, O altar, altar, thus saith the LORD; Behold, a child shall be born unto the house of David, Josiah by name; and upon thee shall he offer the priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men’s bones shall be burnt upon thee.
Why do some families seem trapped in the same cycle, generation after generation, the same sicknesses, the same poverty, the same broken marriages? Behind many of these patterns stands an altar: a spiritual platform where words and sacrifices have bound a destiny.
In Bethel, an unnamed man of God did not bow to the golden calf or beg the king. He turned to the altar itself and cried, “O altar, altar!” He knew the real enemy was the structure giving darkness legal access. Beloved, every altar speaking against your life and bloodline must hear a louder voice today.
The man of God did not negotiate with the altar; he prophesied to it, and that same day it split apart. This is your portion. When Jesus shed His blood at Calvary, He disarmed every principality and made an open show of them, so that every altar raised against you now stands legally defeated.
Your assignment is to enforce that victory with your mouth, for we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. Stop tolerating what Jesus has already conquered.
Name the altars of death, stagnation, shame, and generational failure, and command them to scatter in Jesus’ name. Where you once felt helpless, rise up and speak. The same authority that broke the altar at Bethel still answers to the children of God who dare to use it.
PRAYER
Father, by the blood of Jesus, I silence and scatter every altar speaking against my destiny and my bloodline, and I raise in its place an altar of praise to You.
