If there is a little mystery that increases prayer power exponentially then it’s thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a little mystery that increases prayer power enormously. Those who know and understand this take thanksgiving very seriously.
Thanksgiving must both;
- Be a lifestyle
- Accompany prayer
- Come after you see the answers manifest
As a lifestyle because there is always a little mercy or kindness of others to be thankful for. We must receive food and drink with thanks (See 1 Timothy 4:45) Thanksgiving is a tool for sanctification. Food that we receive with thanksgiving is sanctified and blessed. In Africa, when we receive food from family, many of us do not forget to pray. It because there is extreme witchcraft and wickedness. We pray in tongues, bind and lose, but a better way is to receive every meal with thanksgiving.
As an accompaniment of prayer because it’s an ultimate expression of faith. To offer your prayer with thanksgiving is a sign that you trust God. To pay for an item before it is delivered is a sign that you trust the person responsible for that sale. To thank God as part of prayer is a sign that you trust God.
Thirdly, to thank God after your prayers are answered is a sign that you ascribe the answer whether it was a healing, a miracle, or a breakthrough to Him. This moves God to do more.
When the Lord by the word of His mouth cleansed ten lepers, He made the one stranger who came back to say thank you whole (See Luke 17:11-19). Thanksgiving releases the extra blessings so let us learn to be thankful and grateful!
As you return to thank God, may the good lord do more for you! May he touch you anew! Receive a new blessing! Receive a new grace and door. May the Lord strengthen and favour you like never before! Be made every wit whole!
