Encounters Of The Holy Spirit

We have learnt already that one of the factors that will help you fulfill your mandate even in the face of great opposition is an encounter with the Holy Spirit. The presence of God among us is important for impact. Everyone of us must strive to have an encounter with the Holy Spirit.

Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you (John 16:7 KJV)

Three main encounters you can have with the Holy Spirit include;

1. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit:

Baptism or the coming upon of the Holy Spirit; this bestows power for living as a witnessing: the kingly anointing. This is the encounter that releases power for living.

2. The Mantling or Anointing of the Holy Spirit:

This is for higher ministry.It is the anointing which comes upon those who serve tables, and ministerial officers.  The Mantling of the Holy Spirit is also referred to as the priestly anointing.

3. The Infilling and Indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

This is the son-ship anointing. To live a higher life.

The first two encounters of the Holy Ghost comes through impartation, but  the third one comes through fellowship as sons and daughters. This is why a bottle of anointing oil or anointed water is not enough in solving anyone’s problems. The indwelling Spirit bestows massive benefits including the following;

1. The indwelling Spirit gives utterance  (See Acts 2:1-4)
2. The indwelling Spirit quickens, heals, restores our mortal bodies (See Romans 8:11)
3. The indwelling Spirit strengthens you in your inner man so that you can understand the deep mysteries of God. (See Ephesians 3:14-16)
4. By the indwelling Spirit, God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we may ask or think. (See Ephesians 3:20)
