Protecting Your Life, Family and Work from Demonic Oppression

The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;  Neither as being Lords over God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.  And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.  Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.  Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:  Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:  Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.  But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.  To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” (1 Peter 5:1-11 KJV)

We already understand that our adversary is roaming and roaring like a lion seeking whom he may devour.  If you give him a foothold, he will devour your life, family and ministry.

The Bible tells us that he is seeking whom he may devour. That suggest that he cannot destroy everyone. He can only destroy those who allow him. In fact, he is out there and can work through anybody at all.

A careful study of the life of our Lord Jesus Christ reveals that the devil worked through Jesus’ closest companions. The devil worked through Apostle Peter and Judas Iscariot. That is why you must sober and vigilant.

Your liberty and safety has been fully paid for, your freedom can not be contested anymore; but the devil is lawless, hence the need to fight.

Simple steps to protect our lives, our families and businesses from satanic attack are:

1. Enter in by the door:

John 10:9-10 teaches us that Jesus Christ is the door. By Him if any man enters in, He shall be saved. You cannot protect others when you are not safe yourself. The first step to protecting your family and work is to enter in by the door. Be born again and carry on in faith, then and then only you can protect others.

2. Be strong in the Lord and put on the whole armour of God:

Ephesians 6:10-18 teaches that we can win in the spiritual warfare if we can be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. This is how we are better prepared to wrestle and contend with the principalities and powers of darkness.

May the Lord help us to put on the whole armour of God every day and to protect our families from satanic aggression.

3. Stand up as appointed by the Lord over the family or business: 

The army that wins against darkness does not break ranks. Everyone who wants to win the battle against evil must be willing to fulfil total obedience. Leaders should be leaders serving as examples and not as lord; helpers should be helpers and members should be members.

It takes authority and order and submission to win in the battle.

4. Be sober and vigilant: 

The adversary is crafty and skillful. We can win when we are sober. It’s important to listen to your spirit and then act promptly.  Be strong and resist any move of the devil, cast him out in the name of Jesus (See 1 Peter 5:8, Romans 8:14; Isaiah 30:21)

5. Bear them up in prayer: 

Watching and praying are the fundamental tactics in spiritual warfare. A church that watches and prays wins in a clear and convincing way. (Luke 11:21-23 Ephesians 6:10-18)

There is no other effective weapon than this. Arise and watch!  Watch and pray.

There are some people that you need to protect but you cannot discipline so travail in prayer day and night until Christ is formed in these people because you cannot protect those you cannot instruct and discipline.

6. Take advantage of angelic ministry:

Angels are ministering spirit to you. They are waiting for you to decree and they will carry out. Engage angels to secure and protect your home and family. (Hebrews 1:14)

Now! In the name of Jesus, I assign angels to guard your family and I assign many more to guard your business. Take advantage of angelic ministrations from today in the name of Jesus Christ.

7. Rule your house and discipline your children and workers: 

Anybody you cannot discipline, you cannot protect. (Ephesians 6:1-3, 1Timothy 3) Those you seek to protect must submit under you.

8. Bring them to church and meetings:

All those who found healing and deliverance for their families also either brought the troubled person to Jesus, or they brought Jesus to people. Think! (Mathew 17:16, Malachi 3:10)

You shall not die! God will keep and sustain your family and business in Jesus’ name!
