As you step out to make a meaningful impact on your generation remember you are not like them. You are as sheep in the midst of wolves; they can bite but you can’t; they shed blood but you don’t, so be circumspect.

Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves. (Luke 10:3 KJV)

The travelling ministry can be very demanding and dangerous. The travelling minister is at risk and the mercy of the dangerous elements in the community and roads he travels. He is as a sheep among wolves. We must behaviour ethically on missions. The following are 10 guidelines for all travelling ministers;

- The travelling ministers must have faith:
Mark 16:14-20 reveals that the first thing the missionary needs is faith. Missions and soul winning can be very challenging. There are times when the work may not yield lots of fruits as expected. Without a strong faith, the very nature of missions can drown the missionary in depression and self-pity.
- The travelling ministers should be anointed:
Luke 24:44-53 instructs the missionary to wait until he is endued with power from on high. It is very dangerous to step into missions without the Holy Spirit and power. You cannot divide the spoil of a strong man unless you are stronger than him.
- The travelling ministers must be prayerful:
Luke 10:1-2 confirms that there will always be a lot of work to be done on the mission field; but a missionary should never complain. We should focus on getting the work done by praying and asking the Lord of the harvest to send labourers. A missionary should never complain; don’t complain if things don’t run like it does where you came from, pray instead of complaining. Don’t complain about the music, food, sleeping place, meeting place; that is why you are there to impart spiritual gifts to improve the church.

4. The travelling ministers should be wise and meek:
Luke 10:3 tells us that we are as sheep among wolves. This require wisdom. You need discretion to stay safe in the world.
5. Don’t go trusting and relying strangers
6. Don’t roam from house to house, except to preach or minister; even that go as a team.
7. Don’t eat from many sources; you could get poisoned; eat from one house.
8. Don’t carry treasure, you could get attacked by robbers.
9. Don’t die in an unripe field, if you are rejected or persecuted move to safer haven.
10. Don’t say “I am tired”
Stay blessed; I love you.
[/fusion_text][/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
I will never be tired as I embark on missions.
So help me God
Powerful message! help me oh God, to make a meaningful impact on my generation as i step out.
