We have learned that one of the main pillars of living with the end in focus is building in up yourself on your most holy faith.
“These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life” (Jude 1:19-21 KJV)
Those who live a maximum and fruitful life are those who;
- Believe the gospel,
- Build up themselves on their most holy faith, and
- Live a simple life.
Simple reasons why people who build up themselves on their most holy faith are right and why you should endeavour to build up yourself on your most holy faith are:
-
It’s the Christian’s ultimate wisdom:
The Scriptures teach us in Matthew 7:24-27 that “those who hear the sayings of Christ and live by them are like wise builders who build their house upon a rock;” their buildings stand the test of time and the eventualities of life. It’s wise to build your house on the words of Christ. As young people that is how we learn how to live right.
-
It is the best way to prepare for an evil day:
Ephesians 6:10-14 teaches us that those who are strong in the Lord and in the power of His might are able to withstand in an evil day if they put on the whole armour of God.
-
Because there is no difference between a babe and a slave:
Galatians 4:1-4 teaches clearly that until we grow under tutors we cannot rule well. You may be the heir of all things but until you grow under tutors you cannot rule. Dominion is for grown men, not for babies.
-
So that you are neither led away after the error of wickedness nor fall away from your steadfastness:
2 Peter 3:16-19 teaches that those who do not grow in grace could be swept off their steadfastness and led away after the error of the wicked. Evil is enticing and unless you grow in grace and knowledge, you could be led after the error of wickedness.
-
Anything you cannot build on the foundations of your most holy faith has no eternal value:
Your most holy faith is the only foundation on which eternal things grow. You must build up your spirit, soul, body, network and work on what the Bible says you are, what it says you have, and it says you can do; that is your most holy faith.
May the Lord help us to build ourselves on our most holy faith.
I love you.
