Listen and listen good, nobody celebrates normal. Being average is an enemy to being ever celebrated. Every one of us should strive to be an outstanding personality; bringing out the best in ourselves and in others.
“Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellent them all.”(Proverbs 31:29 KJV)
The nations of the world have an earnest expectation. They groan under pain awaiting their redemption, and we are the agents of change. We are the sons of God mandated to bring liberation and deliverance to this generation and we cannot fail. Indeed, the only secret to commanding the attention of this generation is to become outstanding.
What does it mean to be outstanding? To be outstanding is to stand out among your peers. To be outstanding is to be head and shoulder above your challenges. To be outstanding is to strive to rise above the challenges and threats that drown and kill people in your community. Becoming an outstanding personality is an upward journey to achievement and celebrity.
How do you become outstanding? What are the master keys to standing out until you become outstanding? Outstanding personalities do a few things right.
Outstanding persons don’t just run because everyone else is running; they take time to discover their own race:
Habakkuk 2:1-4 teaches that they “stand upon their watch to see what the Lord will answer.” They discover their own race and then set out to run it. Don’t just run; discover your race, your course, and ministry.
Outstanding persons publish their purpose clearly and boldly:
They write their mission clearly. This helps them to purge people who are toxic to the purpose. When a young woman publishes her agenda clearly, people who don’t fall in, fall out with her. State your mission clearly. I am called to go into the world and preach the gospel; this is clear, straight and simple. Anybody or thing that does not align will be disconnected.
Outstanding persons don’t copy, compare, compete, conform, or compromise:
They just run their own race in their course. They do what they are called to do. They focus their minds and passion on their calling and leave others to do what they are called to do. You cannot run your race well when you are trying to run other people’s race.
Outstanding people set goals, formulate strategies and align with others who share the same or complementing interests:
I am called to preach the gospel, and I do so through outreach and seminars, church planting and missions, print and electronic media, and through raising faithful men who can raise others to in turn raise others also. In this light, I have enlisted others who share this vision or have complementing callings. Teamwork makes the teamwork.
Outstanding persons run their race in their course, start early, start right, and strive lawfully:
Nobody is celebrated because they had a vision; people are celebrated because they run with the vision. You must run with the vision if you will ever be celebrated. Run! Run and run lawfully. Start! Start right and start early, but it is better late than never so start now! Strive! Strive lawfully and endure hardness.
Outstanding people cast off the weight and sin that easily beset them:
Hebrews 12:1-3 tells us they run with patience the race that is set before them. You can never fail. You will succeed. You will win and the generations yet unborn shall celebrate you. You are marked for greatness; strive to be outstanding. Be willing to shed off excess weight. You will run! Run till you win.
