“And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.” (John 12:23-26 KJV)
We are standing in the midst of a harvest of souls. The precious harvest is ready and ripe. It is time to turn the nations over to God. We are sons of the kingdom and we cannot allow the harvest to rot. The fields are white and the harvest is waiting. We cannot be selfish. We cannot focus on the already established churches and souls. We cannot focus on our needs. The rest of the world must be saved.
Lift up your eyes and see, the fields are white and waiting. We must gather energy and swing the sickle of the harvest. The time is now and we cannot fail the Lord of the harvest. We can turn in the harvest. It is work, and we cannot sleep on the harvest.
Today, the Holy Spirit is exhorting us to make the utmost sacrifice if we are really serious about the harvest. Without sacrifice the harvest may rot. “The harvest is plenteous and the labourers are few”; without sacrificing we may not cover enough grounds (Luke 10:2). “Except a corn of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it abides alone.”
The Lord purchased the field of souls with His blood and we can do no less. We cannot stand aloof and watch the harvest rot. Let us get in and bring in the harvest. We must be willing to make the utmost sacrifice. May the Lord ignite in our hearts a passion and a hunger for the harvest of souls. May our hearts burn with passion for the lost.
We all have to sacrifice, sacrifice our money and our time. We may have to sacrifice our family life and sometimes our comfort or our friendships. It takes the utmost sacrifice of even our very lives to bring in the harvest. The harvest must come in before the door closes. Thousands upon thousands around us are dying daily without Christ and we cannot look on unconcerned.
But we ought to remember that it takes the sacrifice of the self to bring in the bumper harvest of souls. May we be willing to bring in the harvest in the name of Jesus. May the Lord help us make the effort to save souls. May we pursue souls till our last breath. May nothing steal the joy of soul winning from our hearts. May we see fruits in the name of Jesus. You will succeed in missions. The churches we plant shall grow. You will never be dry or empty. Stay blessed.
I love you.
