“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 15:58 KJV)
To be steadfast is to be resolved. This is the third step into God’s perfect plan. Steadfastly continuing is the third secret that leads to God’s perfect plan. You can in fact become all that God has planned for you to be if you continue steadfastly in three things: fellowship, doctrine and prayer. Acts 2:42 teaches us that those who believed “continued steadfastly in the apostles’ fellowship, doctrine, and prayers.” You must continue if you want to arrive. Push beyond your might. Rely on the grace of God and push. (Acts 14:22)
Your life will change when you push steadfastly. I pray that every one of us will push steadfastly against all odds and challenges. Don’t stop pushing, push past the odds.
Continue in fellowship:
Those you spend time with will influence how you turn out. Fellowship with the people of God and be changed. The friend of the wise will be wise. The friend of an angry man shall be destroyed; the friend of a strange woman is a great waster.
Continue in doctrine:
God’s doctrine distills as rain. His doctrine nourishes our lives. His doctrine is profitable to direct. This is our wisdom. Allow the Word of God to shape your thinking. Allow the doctrine of the church to influence your choices. Allow God to change your thought pattern.
Continue in prayer:
Lift up your eyes to the hills, that is where our help comes from. We have no other helper but God. In prayer we have the ears of the immortal God and access to unsearchable knowledge. Continue in prayer and in faith to be in command.
You will not fail! You will arrive! You will walk in God’s perfect plan, so press on in faith.
