“Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be Lord of all; But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.” (Galatians 4:1-2 KJV)
The fourth step into God’s perfect plan is maturity. In fact, there is the need to grow in grace and knowledge because life is dynamic and every new day requires fresh grace and knowledge.
Without growing in understanding, you will be unable to understand many portions of the scriptures rightly. The Apostle Peter attested that some of the writings of Apostle Paul are hard to understand and many have wrestled and twisted the scriptures to their own destruction.
(2 Peter 3:16-18 KJV) “As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.”
We must, however, strive to be steadfast in our convictions lest we drift off from our own steadfastness. We must strive to grow in grace and knowledge because we cannot depend on the grace and knowledge of yesterday to excel today. I pray that you will continue to grow in grace and knowledge daily.
Yesterday is gone but another day has come and we must endeavour to mature. We are put under tutors to be taught to mature. Every day brings new challenges and hence the need for fresh knowledge and grace.
God will help us to pursue growth. You shall mature and weather the storms of life. God will bring us out of every mess. We would leave childish things behind and move on to perfection. You will advance to higher realms of grace and knowledge. Supernatural understanding will come to you. Receive that understanding and knowledge in Jesus’ name!
It is time to take your quiet time seriously. You will meditate and study the word of God. As you spend time in prayer, you will grow in grace.
Let’s give hope, prayer, and encouragement below. Post a comment & let the discussion continue.
Stay blessed
I love you.

Oh okay, now my eyes are openned to the reason behind most of the problems we face as Chirstians; we have simply refused to grow, and no father will hand over his kingdom to an heir who is still a child.
I detetermine therefore to grow some more everyday by learning something from this daily devotionals.
God bless you for this insightful message Pastor.
Amen
I will grow in Knowledge and Grace therefore i will bring myself under a tutor to be trained and mentored
Help me Lord that i will not be drawn away from my own steadfastness in Jesus name.. Amen
God bless you Paapa
Glory to God
God bless you, Bishop.
It is important to grow or mature both in grace and in knowledge. Without maturity we shall even waste the inheritance when it is handed over to us.
I resolve to read, meditate and develop my skills.
