The Sixth Step into God’s Perfect Plan – Training

Training is the sixth step into God’s perfect plan. To train is to sign up for sharpening and equipping with the requisite knowledge for greater impact.

“Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be Lord of all;  But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.” (Galatians 4:1‭-‬2 KJV)

Signing up to be trained for greater impact was one of the wise decisions I made. When the ax is blunt, more strength is required, but when the ax is sharp, only a little strength will do much.

For greater impact, we need more than a blessing; we need training. In Mark 3:13-16, our Lord Jesus called, camped, trained, and empowered some to be effective for greater impact. We will walk into God’s perfect plan when we train for the will of God.

Training under tutors and governors will put you in command. Without the right training, you will remain a child, and enslaved. Training sharpens your gifts and talents. Talents alone are not enough. We must help our generation to sign up for training. A church that does not train cannot make an impact.

Obviously skilled labour achieves more with little than unskilled labour. May the Lord raise more trainers and give us a learning heart. May Jehovah stir us up for learning. May we discover the joy of staying to be trained.
