God can do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think according to His power at work in us. That makes us spiritual powerhouses.
“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,” (Ephesians 3:20 KJV)
The power of God is at work in us. The extent to which God can move and work in our lives is dependent on how active His power is at work in us. We are His powerhouses; God’s power is actively at work in us.
We can not underestimate who we are. We are carriers of divine energy. We have divine ability and strength working in us. This is the time to yield our members to respond to that power.
What is this power?
We must know what is working on the inside so that we can relate better to it. This power at work in us is;
- Unfeigned faith
- The spirit of power
- The spirit of love
- The spirit of a sound mind
“When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also. Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:5-7 KJV)
This is the power at work in us. It is the power or vehicle of possibilities.
How do you stir it up?
What is the mechanism of stirring up this power? You stir up this power through;
- Quiet times
- Prayer
- Fasting
“And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, (14) And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.” (Luke 4:1, 14 KJV)
When we learn to spend time alone with God, His gift and power resident in us grow bigger and stronger. As we spend this Friday night in prayer and waiting, the active presence in us would be stirred up and this leads to the release power for active work.
Don’t slack! Wake up to the reality that we are the spiritual powerhouses. His power is at work in us. Stay blessed.
