An heir is one who is born into a family to both inherit and rule, but the heir as long as he is a child cannot rule. The heir must mature if he or she can rule. Maturing is important for dominion.
“Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be Lord of all; But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.” (Galatians 4:1-2 KJV)
Three simple hints to mature and grow healthily are:
Submission:
The father puts the heir under tutors but the heir will grow and mature if he submits to the tutors. Submission is important for growth. The proud and haughty cannot grow and mature. The students must submit to the tutors. The father puts us under tutors to be taught.
Desire:
We learn in 2 Peter 2:1-2 that we must desire knowledge, the sincere word as newborn babes. Through desire we separate ourselves from malice and evil speaking and seek for sincere word by which we grow. “Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, (2) As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: sincere word by which we grow.” (1 Peter 2:1-2)
Without desire, many of us cannot learn. Desire is an important attitude to learning.
Diligent consistency:
God teaches His children “line upon line, precept upon precept, and a little here, a little there” (Isaiah 28:10). We learn little by little. We add virtue to virtue; diligently pursuing true knowledge.
May the Lord help you to grow in grace and knowledge so that we can collectively advance the kingdom.
I love you!
