“I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. (2) And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
(3) For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. (4) Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.” (Habakkuk 2:1-4 KJV)
Delays are not denials; whatever God shows will manifest if we wait in faith
Three simple steps into your prophetic destiny are as stated in the scriptures;
1. Stand upon your watch and spend your days in prayer:
As we stand in the midst of brokenness or our present challenges, we must be able to see where God is leading. The marriage or the job, child birth or the next level may be delaying, but delays are not denials.
The prophet Habakkuk was standing in the midst of violence and social injustice; and he spent his days in prayer crying out to God (Habakkuk 1:1-3). It’s time to take a break and spend your moments in prayer. Habakkuk did not allow the impossible and extreme hopeless nature of the situation to discourage him. He was relentless in prayer. He prayed and prayed for years, like the widow in Luke 18:1-7.
The prophet Habakkuk spent his days in prayer, crying just like Anna (See Luke 2: 36-37). Anna spent close to 70 years serving the Lord in prayer. She spent all her years praying and interceding for the birth of the messiah. What are you spending your days on? To turn every hopeless situation around, prayer must become a lifeline, lifestyle, and ministry.
2. Publish every vision you receive in a language that inspires positive action:
This is the second step to turn hopeless situations around. Write every vision you see plainly on tables; publish the vision.
Listen, people are reading your life. Your life is an epistle. If you are waiting to be married, then don’t dress and appear as a loose girl. What story is your life writing. People are reading and will react to what they read.
And don’t just publish but make sure you use the right language. Make what you are about simple, plain, and clear upon tables. Your language must be compelling. Whatever you write must be written in a way that will compel those who read to act; to arise and run.
3. No matter what happens, hold on to God’s unchanging hand and word:
Even if it tarries, wait for it: wait for it! Wait in faith. Even in the storm don’t let go of God’s unchanging word and hands. Remember Peter?
Glory to God!
