”For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.” (1 Corinthians 1:21 KJV)
The world, this world is sinking and perishing. The news from around the world shows that the end of all things is at hand. This earth and the world around us is sinking; there only one hope for this world; the preaching of the cross.
The Bible tells us science and the various wisdom’s of the world has failed her. God by the wisdom of the world could not save the world. He is however saving the world by the foolishness of preaching. Many people wonder what exactly coming to church to listen to preaching will add to their lives.
The preaching of the cross saves the world. Without preaching the gospel, the world will perish without warning. As we preach, we offer the world around us the opportunity to be saved. Our salvation depends on both the finished work of Christ on the cross, and faithful labour of the preacher.
We know that unless the people hear they can not believe; and without faith, the world will perish. The preacher and the faithful labour of the preacher is important to the saving of the world. The world will perish without preaching, even though Christ has finished all the work on the cross.
May the Lord ignite and commission you to reach the world around you. Receive the anointing. Receive the grace to reach and preach to the world. You will never fail! As you preach, the world around you shall be saved. The Lord will sustain and work with you in missions.
