If there is one thing that God demands from every one of us, it is the fruits of repentance, the fruits of faith, and the fruit of the Spirit.
(Luke 13:1-9 KJV) “There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?
I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”
“He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none. Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?
And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it: And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.”
It is big joke to claim to be a child of God and a disciple of Christ and yet remain unfruitful in matters of repentance, faith, righteousness and in matters of the Spirit.
The Lord in the story we just read says it clearly that if we remain unfruitful He will cut us off.
The father is always seeking for fruits in us. He comes year after year to find fruits; I pray that He shall find some fruits on His next visit. May He find at least the fruits of repentance, of faith, of grace and righteousness, and of Spirit.
Remember the fruits of repentance are obedience. Remember from where you have fallen and begin to do the first works.
The fruits of faith are signs, Mark 16:15-17 tells us that the signs of casting out devils, laying hands on the sick, speaking with new tongues, picking up serpents and having immunity to deadly poison follow them that believe. These are the fruits of faith.
The fruits of grace and righteousness are dominion, excellence, prosperity, and leadership. (See Romans 5:17)
The fruit of the Spirit is godliness and character, and orderliness. Galatians 5:22 teaches this clearly.
The secrets to bear these fruits are simple:
Firstly, be planted in the garden of the Father, which is the church, that is where the gardener works. The gardener is Jesus Christ. Be planted in the Father’s garden and you will prosper. I did not say merely attend services but be planted in the Lord’s garden. Stay connected.
Secondly, yield and open up to the gardener; He will show up, and when He comes He will take away certain things and certain people. You must allow Him to do His work on you because that is how you become fruitful.
When He shows up He will drop certain things on you. He will drop dung (toilet and waste) on you; it may be inconvenient but allow Him. “Our little and momentary afflicts works for us an eternal weight of glory!”
Stay Blessed; I love you
