“But there’ll be no darkness for those who were in trouble. Earlier he did bring the lands of Zebulun and Naphtali into disrepute, but the time is coming when he’ll make that whole area glorious—the road along the Sea, the country past the Jordan, international Galilee. The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light. For those who lived in a land of deep shadows— light! sunbursts of light! You repopulated the nation, you expanded its joy. Oh, they’re so glad in your presence! Festival joy! The joy of a great celebration, sharing rich gifts and warm greetings. The abuse of oppressors and cruelty of tyrants— all their whips and cudgels and curses— Is gone, done away with, a deliverance as surprising and sudden as Gideon’s old victory over Midian. The boots of all those invading troops, along with their shirts soaked with innocent blood, Will be piled in a heap and burned, a fire that will burn for days! For a child has been born—for us! the gift of a son—for us! He’ll take over the running of the world. His names will be: Amazing Counselor, Strong God, Eternal Father, Prince of Wholeness. His ruling authority will grow, and there’ll be no limits to the wholeness he brings. He’ll rule from the historic David throne over that promised kingdom. He’ll put that kingdom on a firm footing and keep it going With fair dealing and right living, beginning now and lasting always. The zeal of God -of-the-Angel-Armies will do all this.” (Isaiah 9:1-7 MSG)
In a day like this as we remember the birth of a child, and not just any child but the prince of God, it is important to meditate again on the prophecy of Isaiah and seek to understand the significance of the birth of Christ of Jesus, the giving of the Christ, and the sending of the word. The Bible tells us in Isaiah 9:1-7 that a day is coming when;
- There will be no trouble, captivity and affliction and reproach for those who trust the Lord.
- In fact, even those who sit in darkness shall see a sudden light; and those who lived in by-passes shall be as cities by the sea because they trust God.
- There shall be a sudden and swift turn around. The sound and song of our victory and breakthrough shall be as the sudden victory of Gideon in the day of Midian.
- The Bible says the cities of those who trust God shall be filled with joy and rejoicing and sharing of gifts.
- The armies of the Lord and prayer warriors shall arise and march through the land with zeal and loyalty to crush all oppression, cruelty and rebellion.
Christmas is a song of victory! Today is the beginning of the end of pain and anxiety. God is sending the most extraordinary gift of life to you. You will not miss your day and gift. You will sing a new song, and it shall be a song of victory. You will not fail nor be defeated. Your song of victory just began.
The Bible prophesies that this will happen because;
- A child shall be born unto us
- A son shall be given to us
- A word shall be sent unto us
That child is Jesus, that man is Jesus Christ, and that word is truth and grace. These are the three things that come together to release this new blessing. You need the child, the man and the word. The child being the proof that God came in the flesh; the man signifying that God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit at the Jordan and power in the wilderness. Wow! He sent His word and healed them. Indeed, in Acts 10:38; we learn that God anointed Jesus Christ of Nazareth and he went about doing good.
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Israel.” (Isaiah 9:6-8 KJV)
This child and man and word is no ordinary child, man or word. He possesses special qualities as:
- Government or authority or leadership
- Wonder working power
- Counsel or wisdom
- The mighty God
- The everlasting father, that is, He is eternal
- The Prince of Peace; there shall be no end to His reign of peace and His kingdom can never be crushed. His kingdom shall expand and fill the earth.
I see and hear the sound and song of victory, sudden turn around, growth, and restoration of glory. I see the end of oppression and cruelty. I see the liberation of the people who receive the word.
You must not perish; you must not get lost. Unto us a child is born, a man is given and a word is sent; would you receive and believe Him. John 1:12 “to them that believe him and even to them that believe on his name; to them gave he them power to be the sons of God.”
Stay blessed; I love you.
