I don’t know what makes some marriages last and others fail, but these tips may be helpful to finding relationships and marriages that are built to last.
The guy must be god-fearing, belong to a fellowship, and have a pastor:
Marriage is made for sons and daughters. You date and marry a guy without a pastor at your own risk.
The guy must be whole as a single person:
Anybody who is not whole as a single person is a bag of burden. Adam had an assignment, a home, and a life before Eve came. Any guy who needs 1 year or 2 or 3 to prepare for marriage cannot take care of you when you marry him. Listen, most of the people dating are wasting their time. They date and create complications in relationships.
The guy must be at least a step ahead you:
Adam was created before Eve, Adam according to the scriptures, was wiser than Eve; he was not deceived.
The guy must be ready for marriage at the time of proposing:
If you don’t really want to be told stories, then settle for a guy who is ready for marriage at the time of proposing. Car dealers do not waste their time in buyers who are not ready. They want to deal with people who can pay when the deal is closed. Can you imagine keeping a car in a garage for 4 years awaiting a buyer who is now going to look for money to buy it. Putting it this way sounds ridiculous, but sadly, that is what many women are doing.
Many woman are single today because of this nonsense. Why wait for 4 years? The guy must be ready at the time of proposing. A woman can say ‘I am not ready’ but not a man.
